About The Cage
Nolimit City has established itself as one of the best and busiest slot providers with their unique take on slots. Sports fans will immediately guess what the slot is all about. It’s an underground cage-fighting competition, which is more proof of how innovative NLC can get with its themes and slots.
In terms of gameplay features and game complexity, The Cage will inevitably draw comparisons with Dead Canary. You’ll find the gravity-cascading engine pretty similar, but, as always, Nolimit City puts a unique spin on all of its slots. The features in The Cage are inspired by popular fighting kicks, so you can find wild knockout xBombs and special roundabout kicks.
It’s all very unique and highly immersive thanks to the great audio-visual elements. We’ve rarely seen MMA slots of this kind – they are mostly branded slot games with no major surprises.

The Cage Bonus Features
There’s always plenty going on in Nolimit City slots, and The Cage is no different. The reel set is definitely set up differently, but as always, you need 3-7 (up to 9 during the bonus) matching symbols to hit a win. All winning symbols are removed via cascades, which continue as long as you continue to land winning symbols.
There’s a wild in the slot that helps complete or improve wins. However, the wild knockout xBomb also explodes to remove symbols in a cross pattern around it. Each explosion takes the multiplier up by +1, and the xBomb wild doesn’t remove scatters or other xBombs.
When 3-6 symbols align diagonally and don't form a win, they are removed via a cascade that triggers the Roundhouse Kick feature. They are replaced by up to 4 xBombs, which then do their thing and increase the multiplier.
Three scatters on the reels trigger the Title Fight. The grid expands to a completely new layout – 3-3-3-2-2-2-3-3-3. In the centre, there are 4 boosters that are inactive initially. As you win title fights, they are activated one by one, but you also win both ways in the bonus round. To defeat your opponent, you need the boxing glove uppercut symbol. It removes 1 point from your opponent’s life. Of course, as you progress, it becomes harder and harder to knock out opponents, but the prizes rise as well.
The final boss is Wai ‘Little Dragon’ Le, who has unlimited hit points. All gloves are off, meaning you don’t get the uppercut symbol anymore. The only way to beat Little Dragon is to hit the maximum 25,000x winning cap.
21.co.uk Review Of The Cage
Nolimit City has another great release, this time based on MMA. We never thought fighting in an underground cage in a slot form would make for great gameplay, but there’s always NLC to surprise us. The slot looks great and is stocked with special features.
If you’re looking for an alternative to The Cage, Mental could be worth a try. A slot that features many of the familiar characteristics we associate with Nolimit City.
